Saratoga Springs is the largest city in Saratoga County, New York. This historic small city has a non-summer time population of 26,586 but can swell to double that number during the famed Saratoga Race Course track season. The name reflects the presence of mineral springs in the area, which has made Saratoga a popular resort destination for over 200 years. The arts are important in Saratoga as the New York City ballet and the Philadelphia orchestra both have summer performances here
The city is just north of Ballston Spa, in the heart of New York's Capital Region.
